No idea why it’s designed that way, they remove the trays to do the oil changes in the dealership I’ve used - though it’s much easier on a ramp. |

9.8 litres according to the manual. I’ve only ever managed to get about 9 litres out though.

It is. Did you use an extractor or drain through the sump plug?
It’s easy to get the extractor tube stuck on the sump and it not go all the way to the bottom. |

First step would be to actually establish what temperature it is running at - the Tdi gauge will not give you any useful information.

Sounds like a problem with the wheels. The standard 18” steel wheels fit fine with plenty of clearance. |
