maybe I was not very clear.
It's a 110 td5 and had a standard rad that's only 18 months old and now broken and I was wondering if the shiny alloy ones are worth the extra over a standard one |

A little lube sprayed into the alternator pulley shut it up for the time being but tensioner is close enough it may well have got a dose.
Thanks for advice. Sounds like its worth changing the tens ... |

Much as title rally there is a rather annoying squealing from the alternator pulley until the the engines all warmed up.
Can I replace just the bearing/ pulley or is a whole new and rather expensive ... |

My intermittent head light issue were all caused by a melted header ( blue plastic things )in the loom behind the dash.
A nail had got stuck and rubbed through part of the loom.

Seems it's not the pump as that still works , I was right about thinking air was getting in the injector seals were rather poor

Just to add a little comparison I also drive a 2004 golf tdi with 140 miles on it and it far from without problems
But unlike the 110 the next mot could be the end of the golf as it's not worth a lo ... |

Yep pump runs but making a lot of noise
Filter is less than a year old and is genuine lr
