 Oil spec-Confused!

Hello everyone,

following on from the above, what grease should be used for the prop shafts? I would prefer to use what Land Rover use but cant find the type.

Hi Ronwong,

As I've edited above I would try it. My blower would work intermittently on 1, aircon on or off, but worked fine on setting 2 & 3, aircon on or off.

Try MAXICOSI, (MAXI-COSI?) Family Base 2. Family base 2 is the iso fix base. It may or may not be possible to retro fit the mounting point to your Land Rover.

The cable tie also attaches to something near the bottom of the seatbelt, to stop it sliding up. I cant remember what exactly, but anything to keep at the lowest point near the seatbelt reel.

Update: Sump off today and the offending part was in the sump, in one piece. There is gauze fitted to the pipe/pump intake so it seems it couldnt go any further.

Well, i've drained the oil in the hope it would be stuck to the magnetic sump plug. My sump plug, is definitely NOT magnetic, and there was nothing in the oil. Sad

Looked all over the engine bay ...
