Today I put the heater on a timer at 6:30 till 8:30.

Oil pan was around 14c and the ambient temperature was -3c.

Puma started better with less smoke !

I call win, but I am considering an adi ...

Most likely its the internal switch.

how high is the oil level in the sump?

I installed a Oil heater and I am afraid I installed it too high

you should buy a broken IPAC from a Discovery or a Sport and use that.

I would try to insert an LED that illuminates the Speedo dial to RED when its engaged.

I had the same problem as described , I ended replacing my Cluster.

Mine came back to life when tapping the plexiglass or hitting it from the top.
I think mine had a loose connection somewhere.

If i had the budget and need and would drive a lot offroad I would go with:
ARB in the rear and torsen in the front. ...
