Maybe undo the nut and count the splines.

Are the two holes next to the shaft threaded? If so make a puller with a flat bar and a central bolt to screw against the shaft.
I have one for series 111 steering wheel somewhere |

Looks like 48 spline from the part number.
You’ll need a puller easy to make as above or just maybe leave the nut on and give it a proper tug. |

Nut should come of with reasonable force, getting the wheel off requires a puller, like others I made one. Once the nut is off splines can be counted. Good luck!

Just ordered a pulling tool from eBay. Hopefully that should do it. Thank you

Worth applying some release agent as well- plus gas or similar and let it soak for a few days!

I bought a £10 puller tool on eBay for that purpose, and managed to take it out fairly easily. I am happy I did as it turns out to be an early TD5 SW and indeed came as a 36 splines.
Now off to buy myself a nice replacement wheel… pics to follow |
