Power Steering very tight !
Hi,

I have a brand new Defender X 2023. This morning, when I tried to go to work, I got a message that lane assistance was disabled and the steering wheel became very hard. There are no leaks or any clear issues.

Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

I called road assistance and the car will be towed to the dealer.

This has been reported by a few owners in North America on the Facebook groups, often the good old Window OS fix has cured it - switch off, wait 10 minutes then try restarting. AFAIK you shouldn’t see any fluid leaks from the steering as it’s electric not hydraulic. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Unfortunately, left it for 12 hours , when I tried back I couldn’t switch it on
No light, both FOB not working, I opened it by keys
Road assistance will tow it shortly, I’ll update you why when I got answers from dealer Defender 110 X 2023 Black

If you disconnect the negative ground of the battery and then reconnect it will cure this.

You are right , when the road assistance arrived, the battery was dead , after jump start the battery everything came back normal , but I send it anyway to LR dealer Defender 110 X 2023 Black
