Coolant Leak….
Noticed under the car this morning a round wet patch, now whilst this is nothing unusual with leaks this one was quite large - I put a piece of cardboard to see the extent and when returned hour later saw that it was coolant and not oil as first suspected.

Cannot see any visible leaks it is coming down behind the n/s wheel. Topped the coolest back up as was low.

Any ideas, cracked hose somewhere behind engine etc?

Further photographs are required, from above and below, to have a go at saying where the coolant originated.

It could be a core plug, a leaking hose, a split heater matrix, or the water pump. Essentially, it’s impossible to say from just a pool underneath as fluids don’t always hit the ground directly below the point from which they leak. Charlie

You sure it’s not condensation from A/C?

Which engine do you have? What does the fluid feel like, is it oily or watery or sticky?

It’s the 2.4 Puma, it’s watery issue is I can’t get in to have a look, will try later from getting under it to take a look.

So being that it is watery and you have a RHD I am going to say something to do with the heater box, AC, hoses or matrix. Get up above the heater box with a decent pen torch and see if you can find the tracks of water. If there is nothing apparent externally then it might be more matrix/core related.

Do you have AC?

Fuel cooler or oil cooler. Both easy to spot from underneath. Puma 110" SW

Check the heater valve. These can fail and leak > 110 XS Double Cab
