Great stuff Steve- you’ve solved a query I had- I have 2 of these floating around behind the headlight- couldn’t work out what they were for! How many defenders have levelling headlights!?

LR Workshop has a good electrics section, including a “connector by wire colour” which has helped me identify unused connectors no end of times

I believe that headlight levelling came standard on County Station Wagons after 1997?

Quite likely, although not fitted to County-spec variants of "commercial" models.such as the DC, which "benefitted" from the hopeless and stupid dim-dip system.

I had a 1999 CSW which did not have it.
I have had (different) cars with and without and can't see it's all that valuable. I think I had a D2 which had adjustable headlights AND rear air suspension, I mean, really....? With modern lighting as it is, most people have accepted that occasionally you will be completely blinded by oncoming traffic. |

Far worse and dangerous now that we seem to have entered the twilight zone in terms of modern vehicle lighting......
Why should it simply be accepted?? |
