Sadly typical of modern, poorly-applied powder coat. All you can do really is replace them or clean them properly back to bare metal,.etch prime and paint.

Yes I agree. Probably poor prep. Happened to my driving and work lights.
I stripped, etch primed and painted. They look okay but are already starting to peel/flake in some areas ☹️ |

Sadly that looks to be the result of cheap crap (even if they charge you a lot to buy them).
Aluminium would likely be better served being anodised as opposed to powder coated. |

Look just like the rear worklights on my 110 did when I bought it. Ended up replacing for Auxbeam 5" Side shooters. Everyone raves about the auxbeam switch panels so I am hoping the lights are equally as good...
