Bumper DRL wiring.
Please can you advise …

I have fitted Ring DRL and there are 3 wires.

Positive with fuse to battery under seat

Negative to battery under seat

Orange (which has been extended using red cable) does this connect into the side light? The red wire in the picture attached?
(As a check would it work if it was shoved in from the front?

I would guess that the "lamp" wire you have there is to tell the DRL's that you've now turned your headlights ON, so would shut down the DRL's.

Just my thought anyway

Yes, generally speaking Red = Positive, Black = Negative. Though there are occasional exceptions to the rule where different coloured wires are used.
