I am new to the land of defenders and need to sort some rust out on one of the mud flaps. The bracket is held on with 3 nuts - are the studs captive in the cross member, or do I need to get a spanner inside there?
I can check by loosening the nut, but if they aren’t captive they won’t be easy to tighten! Steve |

Hi, in my case it was both, some were clinch nuts and some normal nuts.
Once I got them off I replaced them all with clinch nuts. It wasn’t so easy to remove them as they were old and rusty Kev |

Thanks. It sounds like a WD-40 or Plusgas soaking overnight is needed first.
