Heres my 110, I bought it with knocking bottom end.

I have replaced the knocking engine with a replacement from a Disco 2, I have replaced most seals and gaskets with a mixture of good quality and genuine parts.

I removed and cleaned the oil pump strainer and loctited the oil pump pulley bolt while I was doing the sump gasket.

I am waiting on a replacement radiator, current one looks a little crusty, I also have a new Allisport intercooler to be fitted.

I San blasted and galvanised the slam panel and most of the steel brackets and fittings around the engine bay while I was carrying out the work.

Hoping the replacement engine goes well, I'm looking forward to being back in a Defender, I sold a 200TDI 90 pickup a few years back and really regretted it.

Would love to see some more Belize green Defenders.

Sweet looking 90 Mike!

I'm tempted to get a set of boosts for the 110 although I have a set of genuine wolf steels that I'd like to paint white to match the roof.

I am waiting on a new canvas from Undercover covers also, should freshen it up nicely.

I should probably get it running before I buy any more bits for it, I picked up a new ARB winch bumper for it a while back too!

I've been driving this now since Christmas and its driving well.

The steering wheel feels huge, I'd like to replace it with something smaller at some stage.

I am still waiting on the canvas from Undercover covers, I ordered it last July and was told it would be ready in October Laughing

The steering feels a bit vague and there is a small whine from the PAS pump turning at slow speeds, I must jack it up at the weekend and have a look.

I'm also looking for some recommendations for front springs to fit for when I mount the winch bumper and eventually mount a winch.

Thanks, although it was the previous owner that kept it in such good shape.

I didn't like the colour combo at first but it has grown on me, I had planned on a black replacement canvas and black wolf steels but I am sticking with the tan and I will paint the wolf steels the same white as the roof.

I'm going to try a pair of 90 rear springs up front when I mount the winch bumper and see how it goes.

I need to book it in for a CVRT (Irish commercial vehicle road worthiness test) soon, theres a slight wobble from front drivers wheel when going over rough roads, I think it might be swivel pins from what I've read.

Quick update, was worried I had an overheating problem as the gauge was climbing to 3/4.

It wasn't using water, mixing water and oil or building pressure.

I tried running a new earth to the ecu but no change.

I eventually got it checked on Nanocom and its reading bang on 80 degrees when the gaugebis at 3/4, I either need a new gauge or have other earth issues.

I fitted some HD springs up front and mounted the ARB bumper.

Badly need to get the Wolf steels refurbed and fit some decent tyres!
