Dear All
I just wanted to update you all and say a big thank you for all your advice. I have successfully re-built the engine and after turning over 3 times it started. It sounds like new! which I suppose it should do as most of the things above the cylinder head are new. Removing the sump was a horrible job and so was getting the alternator back on - but I have learned so much about the Puma engine it makes it all worth it. So from me to you all - Thank You. Best wishes Richard Click image to enlarge |

I'm really pleased to hear that it went well and congratulate you an successfully carrying out a repair which many would hesitate even to attempt.
I am also glad that the forum was able to help. It is a very good forum IMO. |
