Alloy front bumper manufacturer
After 12 years my front bumper has finally decided to get rusty, started under the paint behind the rubber end caps so I didn't notice it until it was too late.

Normally Google is my friend but I have investigated the options and really fancy a standard style satin black replacement to match the original but in Stainless or Aluminium.

Now various people do stainless but the prices are high £££ from reputable suppliers, and they all seam to have gone mad in adding strength and weight!.

Twisted do an alloy one with DRLs which I am sure is great but ££££ and I don't want DRLs and bowler do a nice lightweight one for better money £££, but I don't want the holes or branding, and I want to fit my existing spot lights and soft A bar.

As these 2 modifiers do them in aluminium there must be someone out there doing the basic shape bumper before the holes are made in them, in fact you can by 4 x 3 inch alloy channel and box section very cheaply so if you had the tools, skills and time I expect you could easily knock one up.

So question is does anyone know who makes them for Bowler or Twisted?

Failing that can anyone recommend a good replacement mild steel OEM type that wont go rusty any more quickly than my original factory LR one has DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

I think ORE 4x4 make a standard look steel one and they make great claims for the quality of their powder coating. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Why not get a steel one and galvanise it ? I did this to mine about 9 yrs ago on a pervious 110 and moved it over - and its still sound ... you get the functionality and form of the original with out going to the high end price for an alloy one ... I used to go through bumpers quicker than tyres for some odd reason (buy cheap…buy twice…)

I wanted a bog std look so took advice on here - bought a galvanised bumper, prepped, primed and satin black. Looks like it will outlive the rest of the truck 👍

I have this one, although it is now just a spare as decided to galvanize the original one, looks and feels well made. Being hot dip galvanized it will resist corrosion for a very long time.

I, too, have the Paddocks galv one, which I painted black. You really can't go wrong for the money.

For an original to last 12 years is amazing! I have had three painted/powder coated ones fitted and they have all rusted. I have now fitted a galvanised one which I got second hand for £40 - and actually prefer the look.

It was LRA’s great photo above and helpful guidance that convinced me some time ago to do as he did. All still looking great Thumbs Up Bow down
