Thanks. I had seen this post but wasn't sure if the relay is the issue given the high beam is okay as well as the other headlamp as it looks like they would be shared.

OK. Maybe a faulty bulb, terminal, etc. Try another bulb or test the contact. Puma 110" SW

[edit] Found the main relay now (No#4 from link) and have checked that and looks fine as well.
Thanks for the replies. I ordered another set of bulbs anyway though figured if high beam was okay this probably isn't the issue as the bulb looked intact when I took it out (I'm assuming the filiment blows like a regular old fashioned bulb, but this is all new still) I've had a look around the wiring as best I can and can't see anything obvious that suggests chaffing. Regarding the fuses and relay side. I've checked the fuses for the low beam and they are fine. Are there any other components to check outside of the wiring that might explain this? I read something earlier here about separate relays but not sure where to find these. I have the haynes manual which includes a wiring diagram. To my novice eye I can see the fuses but nothing else inline. Unless the relay is the box shaped thing that plugs direclty into the lamp? Thanks. Paul |

To start with, simply swap the bulbs over between the headlamps. If the fault moves, the bulb is at fault, if the fault stays put, the vehicle wiring is at fault.
There are relatively few wiring or component failures which will affect only a single headlight, so it is most likely to be the bulb, the connector on the back of the bulb, or the wing harness. |

Looks like I spoke to soon. When I swapped the bulbs it worked but just gone out to start up and now no headlights at all. Presumably what every caused the other bulb to blow has now blown this one.
Think it will be a trip to the garage tomorrow. |
