How so? I thought Td5 and TDCi axles.were.the same, so the unsprung weight will be the same. |

He means sprung weight if you fit TDCI front springs to a pre TDCI vehicle the front sits very low

Most people are happy with he improved ride! They just don't turn a truck into a car in terms of ride quality.Air suspension is probably the next best option but at a cost of 5-8 thousand installed and unknown service and replacement costs and by all accounts its ride improvement over comfort springs is negligible. I think most people get air suspension for their Chelsea tractors to play defender limbo dancing in car parks..

haha, Im not expecting a Go kart Don't worry lol.
Seen a few people cobble together their own air setups but obviously not as professional or capable of a setup as VB or on air. 4.0 V8 Defender 90 My Instagram |

Alive have just fitted road comfort springs with the uprated rollbar to my 90 which are a revolution compared to the lifted setup I had when we were racing round the Sahara. I went for the Blisteins as the 90 is a bit heavier with a rollcage on it.
I think you need the full setup with the antirollbar and shocks for it to work I could not be happier with the result and compared to how it drove before it is practically a Go Kart now. TC |

Click image to enlarge So I have noticed that I generally only withdraw from the knowledge bank here …. On this occasion I am paying in. I have the alive standard height progressive springs with B6 dampers. Never been totally happy with the way the car sits (appears nose up but is actually dead level) I fitted the the gwyn Lewis 25mm spacers today to the rear. Much happier. Front is a little high still (around 10mm) over standard but will leave that alone. 2010 90 LHD soft top 2010 110 XS 1985 90 soft top |
