Reason for the suggestion was two fold really.
I was offered a Puma with an immaculate coat of paint but soon realised it had been a R/O, but because it had been leased to the Army by a major dealer down south, it seemed to miss the DVLA V25 process and nowhere had it been recorded that it had been seriously rolled. The chassis measured up OK so it drove well, but the issue was they were asking top book without disclosing its true injuries! The other area of concern was the bonnet thefts, which seem to have quietened down at the moment, anyway it was just a suggestion for a separate thread. |

If it was a suggestion for Martin, why didn't you just 'pm' him quietly....INSTEAD OF SHOUTING ABOUT IT IN A THREAD! Or was it directed at all? Maybe why you had such limited response!
Personally I think the concept is quite a good idea! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Don't get your coat.
A Forum is for discussion so discuss. Furthermore - I don't think it's shouting - it's bringing the problem into the open and attempting to create a solition. |

How did you know it was a R/O if they patched it up so well? Just intrested Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

New rivets under the carpets and no O/S aerial which they forgot to put back on a 2008 L/R when they rushed to get it finished, and made me look even closer.
Windscreen wiper motors that clunked every time they touched the bodywork on a sweep, gaps under the doors, more than normal, basic mistakes, which stood out. This on a vehicle offered for sale on a forecourt of a well known dealership who had also been duped, buying it in and asking for top dollar. Apologies to those who found the thread a need for a silent approach to Martin by PM rather than on the open forum, but that's exactly my reason for stating it openly. Wildrover thanks for your support mate and others who have PM'd me. Thats the only way we, collectively, will ever get things talked about and lots more eyes on the ground by passing this knowledge openly around the Defender 2 users forum....................who knows, you could be next!! |
