thanks had a read but have been told by land rover that it needs to be replaced,,,
need to get at plate with part number on it now, to order from some one who aint tryin to rob me. |

thanks a million for that. is that the part number for the lnd rover turbo or the transit. have been told that the landi 1 must start with a 7 to be able to replace it with a transit 1

Well, all I know is that having done a search for a replacement turbo on a turbo suppliers website,
http://www.btnturbo.com/parts/model/landrover/defender.aspx that was the part number listed for a 2007-on 2.4 tdci Defender. Can't see why the Defender would use a different turbo to the Transit one. It's the same engine assembly, after all. But, don't hold me responsible....

Turbos are the same!!!

Hi like dgardel says there are the same,because I have fitted a Defender one On my Transit van;)You just need to Change the plastic elbow two 10 mill bolts.
Make sure it's off the 140 model Transit;) cheers Ash |

They say that frequent oil changes together with good quality oil really benefit a turbo. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
