Dean, I've just been trawling a parts list in readiness for sorting a job on mine and came across this image

Item 11 is listed as LR021922 - temperature sensor.
Item 14/15 is the camshaft position sensor.

Not sure if it helps

But part of me says the image isnt correct, and its not just a re-titled 2.4 schematic. I had similar a few years back with Ford's engine diagram for the Cologne V6 having the image for the american spec 3 port heads, but the part numbers were for the european 2 port 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone
2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW

I had/have this issue as well. Had a new battery fitted and it's definitely better, but still not quite right. Going to check the glow plugs next, but very nervous about removing them given all the horror stories about them breaking... any advice?

Yeah, get someone else to do it. Mechanic had mine removed in about 15 minutes. I'd sprayed WD40 down towards them a couple of times in the days leading up to it and mechanic said they came loose really easily but had to be pulled out of the hole because of crud on the ends.

I read the Haynes Manual about glow plugs and it said the only real way to confirm the plugs are working is to fit plugs you know are working. So I figured might as well change them.

All,
Just read this thread and I also have identical problem.
2015 2.2 with 38k. Cold starting problems since the cold spell in December 2022.
DTCs
P06B9 Cylinder 1 Glow plug circuit - Range/performance
P06BA Cylinder 2 Glow plug circuit - Range/performance
P06BB Cylinder 3 Glow plug circuit - Range/performance
P06BC Cylinder 4 Glow plug circuit - Range/performance
Checked, when cold and with ignition on, for 12v at each of the 4 contacts in the connector to the glow plugs at the front of the head. I got nothing.
Checked 60A fuse (under seat) and ok.
Checked Power relay (second one top row under seat) and ok. I believe this powers the Glow Plug Control Module
So then i bought new Glow Plug Control Module (£60)
Just fitted this morning and started well, but it is +8C so not a good test.
Bad news is I'm still getting those fault codes.
I'll wait until early morning and test again but I'm not too hopeful so any other suggestions welcome.

Just checking, but now you have the codes recorded did you clear those codes, check they have cleared, then restart and they came back ?

Ianh,
Cleared DTC, checked it was clear, started and same DTC again.
From what I've read those DTC indicate faults with supply to the glow plugs rather than faults with the glow plugs themselves but I could be wrong.

If anybody is following, here's my update.

I have 12v to the glow plugs measured with ignition on at at the connector (C2583/C3355) on the front of the block.

Next I measured the resistance of the glow plugs to earth, first from this connector and then from the terminal on the top of each glow plug in case the final connections were poor.

Results were not good -

Plug 1 (grey/purple) 38.5 ohm
Plug 2 (blue/brown) 581 ohm
Plug 3 (purple/white) 29.2 ohm
Plug 4 (yellow/blue) 2.9k ohm

I checked a friends 2013MY and got 0.6 ohm on each plug.

So it looks like all of my glow plugs have failed.

Any ideas why this has happened on a 2015MY with only 38k ???
