And the solution is go to your friendly land rover parts people who have a plug that fits the CPS with tails on it so all i have to do is cut the old one off and connect the new one ... somehow ....

Plug is a basic 2pin Econoseal type (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143412803593)

For these events, I chop the connectors of the 'replaced injector harness', which are of this same type. Have a few in a toolbox in the car. They are pretty good for a quick fix, but the insulation tends to have hardened from sitting inside the engine.

Click image to enlarge You are correct different connector. I got confused with the various temperature sensors. Quickly nipped into the garage where i have a 1999 R380 lying around and took a quick picture for reference. The roundish one is the CPS |
