Madcal,
I did have reservations about purchasing a planet killer but since it is the last V8 JLR will build, it was too good an opportunity to miss. The best I can get out of mine is 19.9 mpg btw. No hate so far but plenty of admirers (for the Carpathian not me!) I had the V8 badges on mine removed as they looked tacky. Great machine. I recommend. |

Thanks for that.
I did think the same on the badges, did they come off the satin film OK without leaving a smudge? I would likely spray the exhaust tips matt black to try to hide them too |

Madcal,
I had JLR remove them before I picked it up. I had the V8 scuff plates changed too. Good shout about the exhaust but you'll never be able to hide the roar!! |

Go for the V8. It's exciting and alive. The 400e will never get your heart racing and you'll regret it in years to come and wished you'd taken the V8. Life's too short not to.

Do it
i changed from a RR Sport SVR. I still miss the SVR, but the defender is brilliant in V8 form. She puts a smile on my face. You visit fuel stations a little often than you'd like, but it's worth it. 2013 Defender 110 USW 2017 Range Rover Sport SVR 2019 Mercedes X Class V6 |

Thanks for all the votes of confidence.
I used to have a 5.0 V8 Defender 110 double cab. Still miss it. I will get some 20’s and winter tyres if anyone has recommendations please let me know. Still waiting the final figures, decision tomorrow. |
