We have the classic flaps on our 110, they do a decent job of keeping the road crud off the paintwork, there are videos from Powerful UK showing the fitting procedures for the flaps:

I have the classic mud flaps fitted front and rear and the front ones do seem to keep the dirt of the front doors Cheers Ian

Definitely worth it, best mud flaps I’ve had on a Land Rover

Some complain about pitting in the paint on the leading edge of the rear wheel fender when mud-flaps are NOT present. 2020 Defender 110 P400 HSE Santorini Black/Ebony

I have the classic ones in front. Didn't trust the original fixing screws, so I made a bit stronger fixation.
But...I should have not installed them if I knew what I know now. Why? I'm afraid they might get torn off in deep mud, frozen snow or sand. They are too rigid. On the other hand...they look good Miran L663 200 S 3,0 |

That last point is very interesting. I’ve come close to having the flaps come off on my puma defender mudflaps, so on the same terrain are you thinking the new one would have ripped off?

Even after this, my mud flaps stayed put:

I haven't done any serious offroading yet but several times when driving over bigger and steeper bumps they touched the ground. No damage so far. Miran L663 200 S 3,0 |
