Locking fuel cap
Or not, in the case of my new 90 Commercial

I assume it's the flap that's locked and not the actual cap.
Does anyone know
Is it possible to get this feature retrofitted? lt's a bit of a security issue in the places l have to leave the vehicle.

I’d be interested to hear how you get on with this. A while back I couldn’t find such a cap for the Defender so perhaps it has come available recently.

When I was looking I guessed I needed a pressurised system cap as the original cap has a warning on it to make sure it is tightened properly or a warning message may come up on the dash.

Well of course not, until it arrives.

lt does say suitable for the post 2020 L663 diesel version, and you'd think they would have checked otherwise they will get them all back.

Just to update this.

The aftermarket locking fuel cap arrived, and fits fine, although it's black and not yellow like the original.

Out of curiosity, is the theft of petrol common these days?
Back in London it was quite rare (I guess people are more interested in smashing cars and stealing watches)... and in Japan it's absolutely unheard of. 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof

And you’ve given it a good run with no alarm coming up?

Do you know if the diesel fuel tank is pressurised?

Please could I ask a favour? It would be useful for comparison if you could post a pic of your original cap showing the underside and the seal. Ta ever so.
