I have heated seats (front).
I have heated front screen. I don't have heated windscreen washer jets ??? Called into local dealer, as I was passing ............. they didn't want to know !!! I was asked the question "Did we supply the vehicle" NO I replied. I can only presume they want to help 'their customers' and not other Dealer Nettwork. THANK YOU LANDROVER !!!!! The last time I had a vehicle that did NOT have heated washer jets ....... was in the 1980's |

I bet it wasn't a Land Rover you owned in the 80's - that certainly would not have had heated washer jets.

lf it's not got the heated washer jets, why is it the dealers issue?
lf the vehicle was supposed to have them then you could try an email to Land Rover but it's not so easy to retrofit parts as it was on the old Defender. My 90 Commercial hasn't got the interior tailgate release switch, and so far nobody has been able to do anything about it, it's not just a case of fitting a switch apparently it's not programmed in the BCM either. |

Yes I know that, but I bought second-user.
Cold Climate Pack should be for vehicles in Canada, Iceland, Scandinavia, Russia ...... NOT Blighty ! So what LR saved in Pence, is going to cost me in POUNDs to retro fit. |

Or you could just use some winter washer fluid rated to -20……

No issues with frozen jets here in the highlands despite sub-zero temperatures. No need for heated jets, and given they are mounted on the wiper arms I’m not sure how they would work.
As above proper washer fluid is all you need unless you’re in the arctic or something. |

I seem to have this problem also, mine are both switched to come on automatically in the Pivi Pro settings but when I start my car remotely they don't switch on until I unlock my car and actually get in. When the car is started remotely the Pivi screen remains off and none of the switchgear underneath the screen is lit up, it only 'boots' up when I unlock the car no matter how long the car has been running. Are other people seeing a different result if they start remotely? If I just jump in on a cold morning the front and rear screen both come on immediately. Mine definitely switches on the front windscreen when I remote start. Don’t know about the rear as that never freezes due to where I park it. 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

Well, l don't have remote start but it's nice to have a vehicle where the locks don't freeze up in sub zero temperatures.
On my 2005 Defender l had to warm the door locks with a hairdryer before l could get in. |

You do have remote start! You just don’t have the scheduled remote start. Pretty sure all new Defenders have it. Mine has it and yeah, only the blowers come on - not heated windscreen. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

This is all interesting because I have a 2020 D240 First Edition and it has remote starting from the app where I can set how warm I want the car to try to warm to (never gets there within the 30 minutes preconditioning time). It always demises/defrosts both the front and rear screens and both wing mirrors.
I also have an all electric Mini……….. half the price of the Defender and in addition to defrosting ALL the windows and sunroof it has heated washer jet nozzles, mirrors and in preconditioning mode it heats the steering wheel and both front seats but not to as high a temperature as when I switch them on manually but at least the leather isn’t freezing cold to sit on and it does all of this in 22 minute and reduces my electric range by 2 miles if not plugged into a charger. There is no heated front screen in it but it uses a very efficient heat pump to blow warm air into the cabin and while the temperature is fixed it is set at 23C which is jolly toasty on a freezing morning. In 2011 I had an Evoque that had instant heating for the cabin as it used a PTC heater not scavenged heat from the engine bay just in those days there was no remote start to start it all off before you started the engine. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |
