What do you fit when a customer demands the absolute best damper/shock absorber set up for his Defender? TracTive Suspension is the answer!

More than just a damper - this system comes with a standalone ACE system - which gives you independent damping control.

On the fly you can adjust roll and pitch, stiffness etc all via an intuitive control screen. Inside each ACE damper is TracTives' patented Dynamic Damping Adjustment (DDA) valve. This DDA valve is controlled by a sensitive multi-axis g-sensor and advanced algorithms developed from decades of racing and road testing.

A dynamic proportional valve operating as a bypass has capacity for a large range of damping adjustment, and is capable of responding within only 6-10ms.

We are currently designing a new housing to take the TracTive screen and a selection of LR switches to give a full OEM style fitment for Puma/Tdci Defenders.

This system works with both VB air suspension and normal coil springs.

An additional benefit - due to how well the ACE system works, it allows the use of a thinner Anti Roll Bar so no reduction in off road articulation.

Price including fitting from £4200 + vat

This system is also ideal for camper applications/roof tents as when turned off, the dampers go to their stiffest setting - so no rocking.

Interesting. Rather expensive though, even more than the Fox adjustable. More electronics to go wrong. However, I like the idea of them locking up when off for camping. Could be a disaster if that happens when driving though.

Thanks for the post Naks.... maybe I should spend more time on this forum (although will get Martin chasing me lol).

Steve - I can't disagree that it's an expensive bit of kit, but are a different league to even the Fox Adjustables.

When powered off they go their stiffest setting, but chances of them failing on road is pretty slim. All fully sealed plugs (that I would also heatshrink seal), IP rated ECU plug etc. This is properhigh end kit - and used a lot of off road motorbikes as well as supercars.

On the road you can simply press one of your presets - so you can have bumpy A road, sports mode, motorway etc etc. IRB
