Tyre pressures
The book says 34psi front, 37psi rear for most conditions

Has anyone tried lower pressures? Over on the old Defender forum almost nobody runs the pressures recommended which are 48psi rear and 32psi front, because it makes the ride rock hard.

Most people recommend 36/30 unless loaded up

Mines a Puma 90 but I run 34F 36R.

I seem to get even tread wear with those pressures, I find 32F you tend to get a little more shoulder wear each side of the tread and not equal over entire tread. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

I am running the ND on 48F and 48R (3.3 bar) at all road conditions (book value for fully loaded vehicle).
Yields much more stability at corners, at breaking and at high speed (>100mph in Germany).

No kind of 'rock hard' ride, air suspension does the job well even with high tyre pressure.

Have a look at @allnewdefenderoffroad and @afterthelandroverexperience on Insta and YT. They've posted videos showing their use of lower tyre pressures when off-road.

Airing down does cause the TPMS to "beep" at you and there's no way to disable it AFAIK, you just have to ignore it.

For normal use, LR's guide says to inflate to the pressures recommended in the Tyre Pressure Information screen in the IP display.

I was referring to my old 2005 Defender when l said the ride was rock hard with higher tyre pressures, the new one is obviously a lot better but l was just wondering what tyre pressures people were running.
