I have recently fitted a genuine set of three door lock barrels and a complete ignition barrel and was surprised by how reasonable the price was. I also purchased new anti theft bolts and the lower barrel strap too which are only a few pounds. With locks and the ignition barrel I decided aftermarket was probably too much of a risk and the price difference was small enough to make the decision easy.
The barrel set for Td5 2002 onwards is LR077438, I see the price has gone up nearly 20% since April https://www.sp-4x4.com/LR077438_p/lr077438g.htm The lower strap is QRG500010 The anti theft bolts are QRH100030 You will have to drill out the anti theft bolts and most likely destroy the lower strap in the process, hence getting the lower strap too. |

I picked up that same genuine set via ebay for 49.99 last year so worth a check before you order.

Lots of the eBay sellers don't ship here.
Our postal service is also on-existent. It could take months to arrive. On Lrdirect the genuine ones are double the price of Allmakes and they courier right to my door. Making the choice more difficult. |
