Hi,
Been having trouble with my defender and it was having unexplained power loss very intermittently. After some back and forth, no symptoms for a while and no diagnoses I’ve used her like normal. See other thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic85029.html This weekend I’ve gone on a trip up north (300 mile round trip) On the way home, about 30 mins out, the car went into limp mode. Got back to this DTC - P0299 (turbo underboost) Now after searching through the forums, I started to check the hoses as suggested. First thing I notice under the car was the hose from the turbo to intercooler I believe??, has a lot of oil residue around it, I can also feel what appears to be a crack around the back of it. I have attached some images to show pipe https://www.defender2.net/gallery/albums/u...429E6.jpeg Now I believe this to be the culprit for the P0299 error so my questions are - Does anyone have a part number for this hose? Any tips on changing this hose? Could this be the reason behind my original issue (as in other thread)? Thanks again for the help. Can’t seem to attach a photo so it should be in the gallery? |

Ok thanks.
Does anyone know if driving this time/distance in limp mode or a split turbo hose would cause it to use up coolant. It may be a separate issue but the coolant level is very low!! |
