Just ask for the all black ones. It wasn't a choice when I had mine installed in 2012. Warranty is probably the key item
Had one of my storage batteries installed today but sadly a duff inverter. |

As you will know does not seem that simple... They all range in performance so some are 250W some are 440W and everything in between, so I would need less panels, also so many different brands (most of which I have never heard) It would have been good if some one had real life experience of some. |

They vary in efficiencies based on a standard measurement. But the range is small. Maybe 17 to 21 or 22%. The watts is the rating of the panel and size of the panels plays a part.
Eg 1m2 at 20% efficiency =200w.....hence panels are bigger.... So a 2m2 panel at the same efficiency = 400w I've had PVs installed on my schemes since 2006. Installed mine in 2012. |

also from what I understand the all black ones are not as efficient, as they dont cool as much as the ones you can see the lines on, also when you are further away from the panels (they will be on the roof so at least 3-4 meters away the lines may start to not be as clear. Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.
5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details |
