Replacing all at once would be my recommendation as good practice if you can afford it. If two have failed chance is the other two won’t be far behind.
Twice yearly I use a cataclean fuel flush in quarter tank of fuel just as a routine, I also add millers diesel additive every time I fuel up. I may be a little old school but believe this is a good routine for preventive maintenance. Anyone else have a view? Ride like you stole it!! I do find that running a diesel fuel cleaner helps keep them running smooth.
I just use the Redex £2 shot bottle every once in a while, especially through winter I find it helps. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS. |

Well this is exactly why I am asking.
I have asked PF Jones what model I need for my car and they cannot tell me until I remove an injector from my engine and give them the reference. Why would there be 3 models of injectors at 3 different prices for the same car (2.4 TDCI 2006 onwards) Obviously I like the price of DCRI107060 (and it is new, not refurbed) better but how do I know whether that’s the right model? |

Have you consulted with LR Workshop? I find their parts reference pages extremely helpful and spot on

And just to add another dimension to this, your local Ford dealer could probably supply you a set at better value than a LR set Ride like you stole it!!

Yup - I cannot find a definitive answer, which is why I turned to the forum.
The LR p/n seems to be LR006803 for the 2.4 TDCI but I am not 100% - So given the ticket is £800+ I would like to know whether that’s really the right LR p/n first and that the Denso p/n is the right equivalent… can’t seem to find a definitive answer and PF Jones won’t confirm anything until I remove an injector. I usually trust forum specialists more than those guys |

Quick Q for the group.
I just bought the injectors and the VCV too. I have just called a local Indy and he quoted me 8h to replace the injectors and the VCV and go through the learning process. It feels excessive - especially given that the current injectors have already been removed 6months ago to get cleaned and replaced the copper washers - so there shouldn’t be any surprises or stuck bolts anywhere. Given the hourly rate in the south east it might be close to £1k for labor alone. Am I out of touch with prices? |
