Bonnet release cable issue
I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to PM me how to release the bonnet. The cable has slipped out of the bonnet release on my TD5 90.

I've removed the grill and taken half the skin off my knuckles, but can't feel anything that could help me open it.

To make matters worse the darn thing won't start so I can't get it to a garage.

Thank you!
Michael

There should be a lever that can be pulled to release the latch.

Indeed it is possible but is a bit of a faff. From memory when i had to do this on mine (after reassembling the front end and realising i had forgotten to connect the cable just as i pushed the bonnet down to close it Embarassed ) i recall using a small spanner to pry the lever to open the latch. You might find putting a little downwards pressure on the front of the bonnet makes the latch slightly easier to operate.

At least you dont have an A-bar, spotlights and winch as it makes getting the grille off so much more tricky! Rolling with laughter

Sorted, thank you very much everyone!

I managed to create a device out of a hacksaw to pull the lever. Quick wiggle of a wire and engine back in business too.
