There should be a lever that can be pulled to release the latch.

Indeed it is possible but is a bit of a faff. From memory when i had to do this on mine (after reassembling the front end and realising i had forgotten to connect the cable just as i pushed the bonnet down to close it ) i recall using a small spanner to pry the lever to open the latch. You might find putting a little downwards pressure on the front of the bonnet makes the latch slightly easier to operate.
At least you dont have an A-bar, spotlights and winch as it makes getting the grille off so much more tricky! Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

Sorted, thank you very much everyone!
I managed to create a device out of a hacksaw to pull the lever. Quick wiggle of a wire and engine back in business too. |
