I would be suspecting a vacuum leak to the servo. Followed by either the master cylinder and/or slave cylinder becoming faulty. During the 40DegC week here it was my slave cylinder that gave up the ghost. The seals just gushed DOT...

Hats off to Grenadier, he sent a message with lots of contact details for me to contact him and arrange to meet up and make some plans!
But I’m the meantime I had discovered the vacuum hose from the servo had a melted hole in it? It somehow must have warmed, dropped and touched the turbo?? It was a very long drive and outside temperature was hitting 43c in some places. I’ve made a temporary repair with pipe sealing tape and gorilla tape plus cable tied it up to the breather.
