An update on this thread - the engine's all in situ now using the RRC setup for the PAS pump and alternator and hasn't shown up any issues now the wings are in

Thanks. I hadn't really considered that - was just after a low profile intake solution to make sure I had enough clearance when the bonnet goes on.
I've seen these filters used on a range of Rover V8 applications, would've thought the Defender engine bay is roomy/draughty enough for it not to be a problem but I want to do an LPG conversion at some point too which will change the setup anyway Matt.
