Can't say what's possible now. In 2015/16 we paid a 2,000€ deposit in advance and the rest by bank transfer two weeks after we collected it, because we drove straight to France for a first pop-top-vacation

I messaged Markus to ask him yesterday and he didn't reply, although he answered other messages so that I guess I'll find it out tomorrow!
Maybe he'll take the truck hostage! 😉 |

Here's the ratchet system. Not sure if it's changed at all, but it's easy to use and doesn't get in the way at all

And all packed away again, took no time at all to pack the oztent (also new to us via an ebay bargain) and to close up the roof.
Think we will order a better mattress as the wife has a dodgy back and the one supplied is really squidgy but looks like we can get a custom made mattress delivered in a week so just in time for the holiday. ![]() Click image to enlarge |

Welcome to the PopTop world ! life will never be the same again !!
The ratchet system is the same as I had - but be carful not to over tighten it down, your mosquito nets look a little longer than mine, but that is a good thing! We had a our own inflatable double mattress which is very firm - most people go for a memory foam one which seems to be very comfortable on the slatted bed frame. Enjoy!!! ![]() Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 ![]() |

![]() ![]() We also had a mattress made to fit and had ordered the roof without one. |

How do you get up and down into the roof and do so safely at night?
We've orderd a flat folding step to try out and I'll get some stick on LED lights I did try some Wolf boxes as I use these in the truck anyway and it would have been a quick win to double them up as steps, but the lids sag too much in the middle |

As ours is fitted out as a camper we have furniture in the back such as lockers which are placed to give us steps up and down inside the vehicle when the back door is closed and the bed is down.
![]() Click image to enlarge Step on to the unit over the wheel box on the left and then up into bed - simples ! You can use a couple of really useful boxes or as you have done with a small ladder or similar ... or put the wolf boxes up side down ... Are you going to fit out the back in the future ?
