Dash Ventilator - 2000 TD5
Please help

have been scouring internet for days to no avail

My 2000 Td5 had original dash when I got it. I installed the 2004 TD5 version then it caught fire and burned in my garage.

Now, I am rebuilding it and have sourced a 2004 TD5 dash but can not figure out how to attach the ventilator plate.

my original plate has tabs that screw into the bulkhead but the newer version has no tabs.

are there supposed to be some brackets?

If so, anyone have a part number for these brackets?

does it just free float? so confused!!

Never taken a 2002-2006 dash out.. however the top dash will triangulate with the panel and should be enough?

On LRWorkshop, there are some pictures of the panel, and they also seem to be tab free (the RHD model is clearer to see).

went with the triangulation method.. seems to work but these holes lining up with old brackets makes me think there should be more to it. like some brackets between bulkhead and plate

The bulkhead brackets on my 2002 are different to the earlier ones (pre 2002) in that they have an extended section with a captive thread which receives screws straight through the ventilator panel.

As you are probably aware, the original older one would have screwed into the sides of those three brackets (screw holes visible in your pics still) and the ventilator panel would have had three tabs on the back for fixing

I havent got any great pictures but hopefully you can make something out from these:

Perfect!! Thank you!

I’m assuming that those are welded to the bulkhead..?

Guessing there is no way for me to fabricate them based on pictures

Seems like someone would be making these but highly doubt it

The hint is on for a solution
