Strangely appealing in an ugly but purposeful way. It would be interesting to see more detail of that one.
One of my many daft ambitions has always been to combine a modern 110 (Td5 or TDCi) with a IIB FC to produce a modern take on an old classic. |

This is my favourite 101FC. Around 30 of these were made for a film called Judge Dredd. Not seen one in the flesh but I understand some are still around.

Similar to the Unimog - I don’t need either but both have huge appeal and can hardly be called stunners (unless one is knocking you over ) |

They are very striking but apparently are just empty fibreglass shells inside, there is no interior as such. |

As built, they weren't road legal either but there was one at the recent Land Rover Legends show that somebody had re-worked to make it so. They'd also fitted out the interior to an extent. It looked like a sod to drive, though.

The FC is incredibly well done. The bumper is a lovely addition. Do you have any more photos/a link or was it one you saw in person?

Am I reading that right? How long did each trip take (air or sea travel not an option)? If that's real then that is epic. |

Would look great in red as a fire tender and a set of ladders on top.

I seem to recall that they did the round trip in 3 weeks and went three or four times a year. Travelling through Iran and Afghanistan is probably best to be avoided today Defender 90XS SW Mini Countryman Cooper S Morgan Plus 8 |

My Father, uncle and 5 friends collected 3 new VW Microbus's from the Wolfsburg factory, driving to Karachi for the Pakistan Scout Association, took 4 weeks for the trip.

Just found this on Farcebook. https://www.facebook.com/VintagePakistan/v...689895917/ Looks like something slightly later on and with a bigger bus. I love the vagueness of the directions given to the driver who is about to embark on a journey across a good portion of the globe. |
