Not a fan of the panoramic windows myself... but everyone to his liking.
I believe late Td5s had the bonded frame sliding windows already, same as the Pumas. Earlier ones had the riveted frames. But stand to be corrected in this. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

Good looking 90! Let’s see some more pics to help us decide which windows you should fit!

Many thanks. Here are some more shots.
Yes, I'm not totally convinced by the panoramic windows. In a way, I think they'd keep the look similar, given that they'd effectively look little different from the current black panels. However, I prefer the look of the standard windows. The Defender specialist I use isn't a fan of the standard ones and reckons they quickly look tatty, unlike the panoramic windows. Windows are a personal choice I’m all for both standard and panoramic types but please please don’t cut your standard panels as they are quite rare in good straight condition especially with the solid rear panels.
Scour the web and get some late panels with windows even if you have to paint them that way you could always revert back to original or sell your lovely straight panels to offset the cost. Just got a few quotes to reinsure my defender after a long period off road. Insurance companies don’t care about windows. I tried to tell each company that my van had windows added at some point and they said if it doesn’t affect performance, we’re not bothered.
As long as you insure it correctly, I.e. as a light utility 4x4 or whatever the commercial classification I doubt you’ll have an issue. |

I've been with Adrian Flux since I got it and they've been very good. (Not had to make a claim, thankfully.)

Not quite the same but i use the round convex mirrors that you can get from Halfords and stick to the wing mirrors.
That alone improved the visibility on my 90 HT. |
