There's a BP garage in Guildford that was charging 214.9 for diesel last week, despite there being a Shell about 500m away charging 194ish. There's no doubt that there's profiteering going on in some places. Darren

I know the one.

Fortunately / unfortunately traffic here is almost back to pre lockdown levels and people are filling up hence the petrol stations have a captive audience and the know it.

the question remains what will happen after a few more months of people in denial of their credit card bills.

We've just come back from Cornwall for the week and it certainly takes the shine off the trip.

Historically oil prices have actually been much higher, we just feel it more keenly at the pump now because the pound has been devalued. WARNING.

We have had our 16c reduction but there are still a lot of "green taxes" in the fuel price which it seems cannot be touched.
So Germany needs to source more fuel to produce the "greener" electric cars. They are in discussions with Columbia about shipping coal from there to help reduce the shortfall. Also they are trying to get the nuclear power they generate classified as a "green" energy source while upping the amount of nuclear power generated. So coal and nuclear that were once vilified are now back in the mainstream mix. Yep governments do as they want but the poor plebs like us get hammered.. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I have already went well into the red last week with my bank, to the point, a my loan bounced. I thought i had enough funds in to cover that. Belled the place i have the loan with, they said its paid like, so not sure what the story is, Got to check on monday though just to be sure all is well, I have to cut back on everything now, no fancy coffee and breakfast on a morning now. your lucky, Every station around here, is practically on £2 a litre now, Asda as kept the price at 1.95 and petrol for 1.85, for the moment. Which could be the cheapest station at the moment.
I recon by the end of the month, all local stations will go into £2 marker, i know the service stations are well into that anyway. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
