There was a few casualties.

These couldn’t stop in time at the end of the straight..

My marshal point.

Before the racing started, a marshal got himself in a bit of a pickle.

Took the lady for a drive to the polling station, back via a local green lane enjoying the new brakes all the way Smile

Is that short green lane still present that short cuts the Corwen lights? (Entrance I have used is on the road from Ruthin) 1999 Defender TD5 110

Fitted a Shift-R this morning. Which went pretty much to according to plan until I noticed the bolts needed to fasten the make unit I’m place weren’t in the box. Quick call to TMD and they’re posting them out. Don’t really need the car over the weekend so it’s all good.

Also made a start on fashioning a mounting bracket for an LED Strip for the rear of the car. Bit of a faff but got there, ran out of time before I could get the wiring done. I’ve told myself I’ll
get up early in the morning to finish it off but the red wine is flowing so that’s maybe ambitious!

not today but over the last 2 weekends I have used dynamat supreme and some dodo mat insulation in an attempt to make it more pleasant on the motorway, done the front doors, rear door and front foot well, accessible bulk head and seat box.

Doors are now more conventional car like, and the cabin is definitely less tinny.

Will move onto the rear end and roof over the next few weeks, happy so far.

The dynamat is a pleasure to work with as is the dodomat, but both are a pig if you miss align them when sticking them down.

You wont be getting them off easily again, for this reason I have deliberately avoided screwed panel joints and gone for the 80% of the option rather than cover the entire interior DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

Swapped wheels for the summer, had my own rally and finally gave the 110 a wash and polish

Went to visit our daughter for the weekend. As you can see there are always a few jobs to do. Yep another couple of days on a mattress on the floor...

Hello

Managed to source a A frame and decided to fit..

Was going to upgrade the sump and bumper as I'm fed up of sanding and respraying the sump... (6 years old Urban one so not bad)

Took bumper off and rust is showing on front..behind it, it's just a rust bucket...

So was going to order new but wanted to see what it looked like. So I had a spare bumper (like you do...) sanded sump and quick spray job.

Fitted it all this morning.
