I keep tinkering with my series trucks. Due to a change in circumstances I've now got a bit more cash to throw at them.
Today I swapped around and fitted various lamp lenses, so the 88" now has a full set of original spec lights (still got to get headlights and backings), as does my cherrypicker. "Seb" has also gained a couple of genuine lenses. Some of them were un-branded repros which have faded pretty badly, so now it has some more colourful ones on with proper badging. The difference in quality is obvious. I also re-attached the cherrypikers sill panel to the sill and test fitted, just got to get all the nuts and bolts so it can be re-fitted. The bulkhead has now been repaired and painted for the 88", and the 1 Ton IIA is still getting plenty of use.

No, it was an SEB special colour, although they did specify it on some (not all) of their land rovers. It was also used on the 1998 heritage vehicles. 2011 110 USW

Forgive my ignorance, but I assume that SEB ordered the vehicles in Bronze Green and then painted over that on the exterior? Hence the two-tone bulkhead? Charlie

In the early days they did order in DBG, some were run in that colours, some were over painted in beldene green. Mine was ordered in Beldene Green, but the colour scheme changed in 1966 so it was repainted in Atlantic green whilst still quite new, indeed it may never have worked in the dark green scheme as we didn't find any trace of signwriting on the outside. 2011 110 USW
