Can someone educate me on what different the turret makes over and above the slickshift kit? e.g. this bundle https://www.onlinegearboxparts.com/product...d5-bundle/

over this one: https://defenderupgrades.co.uk/product/lan...t-inc-td5/

It’s just a new oem turret, i got it with mine as the standard one is aluminium and can wear down over time.

My truck had done 159k when i fitted it. I’d say it’s an improvement but it won’t change your life.

I had a Slickshift installed last week and the difference is remarkable. Didn't upgrade the turret as mine was in goog nik with only 120k on the clock

I have just had mine fitted with the new gearbox, and it’s night and day. No more stirring the spanners to change gear.

I would highly recommend.

I fitted a slickshift and it made quite a difference to mine at 125k. I should have probably have changed the turret too as mine was borderline, but overall a great improvement - and a heck of a lot easier to fit than the LOF powerspring!

I’ve just done the shifter and spring (didn’t do turret as it looked ok even at 140k) and the difference is incredible - well worth it (despite the spring being rather fun to fit!)

Did you get a replacement turret as well or retaining the original?
