It is obvious that the previous owner had a selection of accessories fitted and removed them before selling the vehicle. Notably a boost box (that's, the wear near the red plug and earth cable below) and either a battery cut-off or andersson plug for jump leads and a positive from the fuse box to a-another accessory.
The important thing is to fix those wires to the red plug. Looks like the damage caused by those blue wire crimps that are used to spur off from. |

Thanks geobloke.
The previous owner had the vehicle since 2012 and was an older gent who used it sparingly as a second vehicle. I believe it would have been the one before that who did these things, so it's been in this state for a while! |

To be honest nothing in those photos is terrible and just needs a little tidying up is all. As for the hole in the seat box plate it and replace the matting with something like the kit from Wright Off-road. You'll never even know it was there.

The 2 circular holes on the box could have been for a hasp for a padlock like in the pictures below although mine has 4 holes.

Suspect the large hole in the seatbox might have been for an Anderson connector as it looks about the right size. Assuming a tin opener was used to produce it though 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

The seat box might have had some sort of battery cut off switch. My dad has one on his, to power off the battery, it was a form of security. So that could have the case here. The other wiring etc, could have been for other toys as been stated. I would remove all the defunct wiring and relays and repair the damaged wires. To stop electrical problems coming about.
