I understand turning off the long thin DRL thing to enable the indicator, but it is the way that the they flashed pseudo-randomly and seemingly alternately white at times in normal driving that puzzled me. I did wonder if it was mimic the adbsurd "steering-fog-light" concept, but they are not "fog" lights and there wasn't much going on in the way of steering at the time.

Very odd and pointless. I did wonder if it was an electrical fault arising from the adaptation work to make it importable.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was an effect of the camera rather than an issue with the vehicle - I'm sure if it was visible to the naked eye, it would have been mentioned.

It is to do with the camera and not the car, it's all to do with the frame rate and the rate at which the LED pulses, to the naked eye it is imperceptible but it shows up to the camera

Here's a video of my old D4 showing the flicker

When I was recording that it just looked like a constant white light Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

If Jonny’s figures are correct, I am surprised the Bronco is not as wide as ND - it certainly looks wider!

Maybe The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is a little bit wider Laughing The new Defender is 1996mm wide and the Bronco Raptor is 2180mm wide

Apologies for the Doug DeMuro video Cheers Ian

In a standard UK parking space (2.4m wide) that would leave 22cm of free space to open the doors or if central in the space 11cm of door opening Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Oh and the 2 door Raptor will over hang by 5cm.

Awesome vehicle but just not made for British roads Rolling Eyes

Thumbs Up

Watched that this morning. Very cool.

Just think what the new Defender could have been, and then given to these guys. The Bowler looks way too muted in comparison, and at its most basic level the ND still suffers ( in my opinion) from the wheel and tyre choice.

I’ve said it before, the Bronco doesn’t have to say ‘but we can pull 3.5 tons and so have to have big brakes, why because we are Ford and if you want to haul get an F series’.

JLR knows not everyone pulls a trailer so could easily offer a more off-road / fun package……. but probably won’t care until the Bronco really hits sales.

^^ wow, I remember having Landrovers the wouldn't go that fast ON the road, downhill, with a 5 mile run up. Laughing

Passed what used to be a Ford dealership yesterday, now a branch of Motorpoint. Hardly surprising when Ford refuse to sell the Bronco, Explorer, Maverick and Bronco Sport here - interesting vehicles.
They can't survive only selling Fiestas, which left me wondering if that was Ford's plan, to get out of Europe... Confused .

At least with the Defender you get a spill proof dog bowl and dog wash…….. Rolling Eyes

Ok, I admit the air intake is a work of art ( Whistle ), but I love the imagination that Ford has and the appeal it is giving to anyone that loves and lives the outdoor lifestyle.

Now who would love to see a Ford Bronco 4600 (KOH Everyman Challenge) go head to head with a Bowler Defender…….. Mr. Green Could be a very short race…. Whistle
