Hi all,
if I rotate my tyres using the spare wheel, would I need to rotate the TPMS sensors also? Does the spare wheel have a TPMS sensor? sorry if these are dumb questions Thank you "Overlanding With Bruce" - Youtube https://www.youtube.com/@OverlandingwithBruce 11MY Defender 130 23MY Defender 110 D300 HSE X-Dynamic https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzrHKcjA-LJ470_H4QwPgVA |

According to page 428 of the Defender Handbook, "The spare wheel pressure is not monitored"

MartinF - have a check, sure does in my June 2020 D240 First Edition. The car I saw it wasn’t monitored in was a 2021 D250 SE but the wheel/tyre did have a sensor as it had the grey/silver valve stem.

Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Very odd! My 110 HSE MY2022 is consistent with the sentence I found in the handbook.
Although my valve stems are all the same they are black rather than silver. |

That's not entirely correct, I just fitted a set of LR steel wheels yesterday and this valve shown in the photo is a TPMS valve, it's black and is a rubber stem Click image to enlarge Cheers Ian -------------------- 22MY Defender 110 D200 SE, Fuji White. Kielder 4x4 Safari Instagram @defender_v8 |

Also just been out and had a look, mine's a MY2022 and it doesn't have the pressure reading on the dash for the spare

My one doesn’t show the tyre pressure for the spare, but having put my spare on, the car picked up the new wheel within a mile of driving. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

thank you all for the replies. I do have a sensor on my spare wheel which is silver and the display does show its pressure. Was more worried about if the sensors need to stay in the same positions to give accurate readings.
Here is my display: Click image to enlarge "Overlanding With Bruce" - Youtube https://www.youtube.com/@OverlandingwithBruce 11MY Defender 130 23MY Defender 110 D300 HSE X-Dynamic https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzrHKcjA-LJ470_H4QwPgVA |
