So Santa and the three wise men (Spanish thing) brought my 110 some gifts for heated seats, somebody forgot to put in switches and I have managed to find out at present they are not at present avaliable from LR. Most places even if they say are in stock soon return my money and an apology they they are not in stock and no eta.
Itโs not just the seat switches they look to be out of stock, quite a few of the others also. Anybody think they will be ever back in stock or do I need to start to think of a cunning plan, fitting a toggle switch instead etc. I know covid is screwing supply chains all over but as you lot have been around on here longer than me has this issue occurred in the past or is this a new one? Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing. 5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details |

Could you look at breakers/scrap yards?

Thought that may be the case. Rimmer have them showing as stock. Not cheap though!:

^^ That's a Td5 or Disco 2 heated seat switch, not a Puma. Puma is YUF500150LNF.
I don't know if the MG/Rover switch YUG101870PMP could be used, it is at least the correct orientation and cheap. Exmoor Trim and Defender Upgrades do not say that they are out of stock, although it is of course possible that they are. |

Exmoor trim wonโt let me add to cart so assuming they are out. And I have tried twice to buy from defender upgrades and failed both times.
Thanks for looking though. According to the people I have spoken to (even ordered from) lr is out of stock and no date for restocking. Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing. 5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details |

Maybe worth asking about stock before buying but try:

Ok we have success at present from Garath at defender upgrades. He has some non Landrover heated switches that are the same as oem.
Only trouble is itโs cost me a few other items when buying ๐ Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing. 5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details |
