I have always wired USB sockets through a switch, as I believe they are a constant but small drain.

As Gilarion said but fuse as close to battery live as practical.
It won’t cause any battery drain as long as it doesn’t have any lighting such as an LED indicator or similar lighting. If it does then it won’t be any good. (Unless switched). Blue sea do some good sockets. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |
