Have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling? I had to do that on my L462 to get it to work, been faultless ever since.
Jag have just released a new version of the app with more features, worth looking to see if Land Rover have done the same. Instagram: L90andy My 1984 Ninety: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56071.html - SOLD! My 2015 Defender: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39625.html - SOLD! |

Yes tried deleting the app and reinstalling it and the bcm reset involves re-synching the app to the car but still no luck Cheers Ian

Did you manage to resolve your problem Ian? Asking as I’ve got the same starting issues now! Time is precious, waste it wisely... Defender 90 D200 |

I know this is counter intuitive but have you contacted LR cust support? I had app issues on my D5 and they were sorted v efficiently. Also watch out for the app telling you it has timed out / car not started only to walk outside and find the engine running….it is just poor software dev and test. Once you commit to an app the overhead of ensuring it continues to work properly with all the Android / iOS releases is significant, and many companies don’t give provide the funding required to set up labs with all the different devices and operating system versions to test fully.

I’ve given up with the app, the rest of the car is running well. Other than the remote start, which I really don’t need, the app is of limited use. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

So far all good here, updated to os3 and app still works a charm.
I do find it weird that a lot of the faults reported only affect a few people, I suppose that’s what makes them hard to fix L663 90ht |

My remote app will start the car but regardless of the temperature that I set on the app the car temperature does not change and it seems to only apply a low heat setting. First world problem! Should the settings in the car change when temperatures are selected on the app?

Just a slight update on this, my car went into the dealers on Tuesday and... it's still there! They can't find out what's causing the problem and are working with Land Rover Technical services to try and trace the fault. I know the lads in the service department and they've said that it is taking so long as they can't ring tech services, everything has to be done via email. So tech services say "try this" and they then email back saying "that didn't work" and have to wait for a reply which is taking a long time. I'm confident they'll get to the bottom of it and I've got a courtesy car so it's no real hardship. Cheers Ian

IIRC the fix was they disabled a signal input that made an antenna ground fault feed into the theft reporting routine. The logic being that if someone tried to rip the antenna off your vehicle then they were going to steal it. Software bods in a lab having a good idea but no practical knowledge of poor earths. Shouldn't surprise anyone that is successive iterations of the software that bit of code has been re-introduced, or a helpful person has re-ticked a box they thought should be. |

Well just to update and close this thread, I've got my car back and remote start works now Apparently they have reflashed nearly every ECU on the car, at the instruction of Land Rover Technical Services, over the past couple of days, none of which worked. Eventually Land Rover sent up a new file to flash to the engine ECU and that seems to have fixed it Cheers Ian
