Not a bad choice either Darren

The wheels you posted are modulars and were not produced by Land Rover so don't have an LR part number as such. Land Rover did produce the 'wolf' rim which is indeed made from thicker steel than the standard rim. They are very good choice and are preferable to modulars in my opinion.
The part number for (tubeless) wolf rims is ANR4583. Note that reproduction ones are now available but with a lower load rating. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread Series 2 109" Series 1 80" |

Point taken on the strength of the wolf rims vs modular. Would you happen to know if a 265 would fit a wolf rim by any chance? Thank you! APK MY2016 110 Adventure Corris Grey MY1997 110 County Station Wagon 300 Tdi Alpine White |

Would they fit? Probably. Should you fit them? From a manufacturers and insurance point of view - no. A wolf rim is 6.5" and IIRC you need a 7-8" rim for 265s.
The wolf and 235 Goodyear Wrangler combo as fitted by LR is IMO one of the nicest wheel/tyre combinations and is often used by Cool n Vintage and Brooklyn Coachworks on their builds. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread Series 2 109" Series 1 80" |

My Puma came with 235 Goodyear Wranglers, lovely combo indeed - so not touching that
I was thinking of the BF 265s for the 300Tdi as I thought they looked very nice on this Arkonik. The boost alloys it came with are ok but don't look that great imo. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-lan...er-110-58/ Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge APK MY2016 110 Adventure Corris Grey MY1997 110 County Station Wagon 300 Tdi Alpine White |

For a bit of perspective, the Tuff Torque modulars are stronger than any other standard LR wheels except the factury Wolfs. Unless you really need the additional load capacity that the Wolfs bring then I wouldn't worry about it. Darren

Thanks LandRoverAnorak.
I have actually been looking at these but they are on backorder. https://4x4tyres.co.uk/product/16-x-7-tuff...1990-2016/ Apart from the load capacity and ability to fit wider tyres, are there any other functional benefits of the modulars over wolfs? E.g. are the rims better protected by the curvature? Really liked your Tdi build thread btw. I would love to take my 300tdi apart, give Zagato the chassis to work his magic and then put it all back together again APK MY2016 110 Adventure Corris Grey MY1997 110 County Station Wagon 300 Tdi Alpine White |

You'll probably find that theyre less prone to rust than factory-fresh Wolf wheels, which seem to suffer from LR's 'bare minimum' approach to paintwork. Other than that, not particularly. Darren

I have the tuff torque et0 Wolf replicas, better fit than modulars IMO as they are hub centric.
Mine are with 265 75 16 BFGS, 4x4 tyres supplied it as a package so Id guessed they were ok. Click image to enlarge |

Hi, Agreed on Wranglers. I found this Alpine White Brooklyn Coachworks build with OEM Land Rover Boost wheels on 255/85 BFG KM2 quite nice and authentic as well. https://www.brooklyncoachworks.com/-1991-land-rover-defender90 Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge APK MY2016 110 Adventure Corris Grey MY1997 110 County Station Wagon 300 Tdi Alpine White |
