Out of interest when fitted what didn't you like about them?
I've hear good things about seat risers but I often feel I'd prefer the seat lower, as I'm normally looking more at the roof than the windscreen. Cheers, Craig Craig. “Don't believe everything you read on the internet.” ― Abraham Lincoln www.scotgrc.co.uk |

I took mine out as it alerted the driving position too much and I felt I was sitting too high in the cab (i'm 6'4) and find the standard position fine.

I wanted to try them, i'd read good things. The positive was the better leg angle as I often felt the back of the leg was unsupported and as a result of the extra height you do get better leg room. I didn't think the seat was any further back maybe a notch but the height is the most obvious difference.
The negative for me was that I have a long back and couldn't see out of the windows. I also have smoke climair wind deflectors fitted and whilst these obscure vision slightly I'm fine with it, sitting higher up I had to duck to see. Add to this low sun and whilst even without the riser I can't put them fully down I can make them work, with the risers the sun visors were in my eye line whilst up. They had to go. This was in my 300tdi csw, I can't even wear a bobble hat in my hicap without the bobble being wedged on the roof so risers here would be pointless. 300tdi 90 CSW 2.2tdci 110 HCPU 1972 Series 3 88" Truck Cab |

I made my own seat risers. Unless you remove the bulkhead behind the seats (I have a 90) then they don't do a lot as the seat can't recline back anyway. If you remove the bulkhead then the risers allow you to move the seat further back and recline the seat which makes a big difference to how far the seat goes back.
I am just under 6'4" and I agree about having to look below the roof, but sitting further back makes a big difference to the angle of your legs. I gat pains in my knees if my legs are at too much of an angle so it makes for a much more comfortable drive for me - but you must remove the bulkhead. |
