Great looking car 👍

I have an XS in Silicone Silver due in at the dealers on 7th January 🤞

Can I just ask is the lodge in your photo part of a holiday complex?

Is that Eagle Brae? If so only a stones throw from me, cracking place.

Well I've finally given up and ordered an BMW X45E. It seems LR can build the diesel versions but unable to build the P400 versions.

Eagle Brae, correct. Fantastic road trip from the south and the Defender feels a bit more used. Very good and settled on the motorways and in its element on the rough tracks to loch car parks etc. Kids were happy too - bought a couple of those 3D printed tablet holders to clip in the back of the front seats.

The funniest moment was when we stopped at Lake Windermere for a couple of nights last weekend after the heavy rain they had in Cumbria. We approached a closed road due to flooding and a guy came though in a small hatchback hire car, wound down high window and told me you could get through is you took it nice and slow. I think 900mm was around his wing mirror so guessed I would be ok!
